VGN-AW11Z/B-battery

Hi all,

I have a VGN-AW11Z, bought in 2008.

My laptop does not work when it's unplugged and battery charge level is showing 27% when it is plugged. A couple of weeks ago it was 48%. I would appreciate if you could advise me if i need to take any action on this. What does this batterly level mean? Do i need to buuy a new battery?

If your vaio doesn not work when on battery power then I would suggest first removing & replacing the battery making sure it's securly connected..

If this does not resolve the problem then it may need to purchase a replacement bettery from either vaio support, one of Sony's authorised repair partners or an independant retailer..

You may find cheaper prices for a replacement battery via Google but be  aware than some retailers sell non Sony compatible batteries with the  same battery model number..
