I have been having a problem with Web Browsers freezing for a couple of months now and can't solve it. It started with IE so I downloaded Firefox thinking it was specific to IE but that does the same. They just freeze and never unhang, the only way to get them working again is to restart the laptop. I have trawled the net for solutions and tried everything suggested but still no luck. I have done a full system restore, I have disabled all add ons, done all updates, I have deleted all 3rd party security software one at a time to ensure there's no conflicts, I have reset the browser settings back to default and have checked for registry errors, I have tried running without javascript. Because both of them do the same it's obviously something that they both use that's causing the problem. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it, sometimes it happens after 5 minutes, sometimes after an hour and it varies from wesbite to website. Anybody got any ideas?
