When you say new Sony Bravia TV, do you mean this is a TV you have bought brand new in the past few days or weeks.

What model of Sony TV is it?
From what you are describing it sounds like the TV panel has failed, if so these are not worth repairing
the TV would need to be replaced.
If this is a brand new TV then you must take it back to the place you bought it from and demand a replacement or a full refund. I am presuming you are in France, what are your consumer rights over there.
