People hear themselves when talking to me on Hangouts/Skype

Hi,

If I use Hangouts/Skype on my Xperia Tablet Z, people complain about my tablet echoing their voice back to the microphone. So they hear themselves. I tried to test it and I couldn't a clear result... Sometimes it was better, sometimes worse. Depends on how I hold it, I think. But I couldn't figure out the rule. So I wanted to ask for others experience with this...

Of course, I am talking about scenario when you don't use headphones. With headphones it all works fine.

@dmitryperets

Just to clear this out, you don't experience this on regular calls?

Hi @dmitryperets

Which version of Android is your device running ?

Hi @xavinux,

Right now - Lolipop 5.0.2 (can check the build later, but it is the latest for Xperia Tablet Z). But the same happened also on earlier versions - I was always using the headphones for this reason. Otherwise people were complaining that they were hearing their own voice...

Hi @dmitryperets

This also happens when you answer calls on your device or only with the Skype app ?

Hi @dmitryperets

I suggest you to first run a backup of the device information like this:

Then try performing a system repair using PC Companion:

I hope can be useful.

I'm at disposal for any question.

I actually did it recently, when updating to latest Android. It didn't help.
