Text Message Alerts

I really am impressed with my new Z3 compact phone there is only one thing i hate which is the text alert it only make a sound once so it is very easy to miss a text message from anyone, every other phone i have owned you can set text messages to repeat the sound/alert until you read the message but i can not see that on the Z3 which is a shame, i had an important message yesterday which i did not see untill i got my phone out mt pocket an hour later, please add this in your next update an option to repeat incoming text alerts untill it is read.

This is a user led support forum however what I can do is message the team to take a look at your post and then they will be able to escalate this to the correct team - So if you don't receive a reply from a Sony staff member please be reassured that they will have read your post

I have the Z1 Compact and have the same complaint.

I used 'Easy Reminder' on my old HTC phone and it worked well but after installing on my new Z1 compact it appears to have been rendered useless as it has never worked on this phone.  This (as you can imagine) is quite annoying!

I may try some other ones to rectify the situation but it appears that I will need to ditch 'Easy Reminder'.

I also have a Sony Xperia z3 compact, but my complaint is the opposite. I am very frustrated with the repeating text message notification, and I haven't found any setting to change it to only once.

This is a menace at work, where I have to turn my phone off, not to disturb people with the constant noise.

Your issue is different, that happened at both lollipop updates, you got repeated all the messages you haven't marked as read. It won't happen again but you can avoid it also by going to message and reading them.

I have the Sony experia t3, I had a loaner phone and accidentally turned on some setting that spoke when I got a message "new message from...." I have no idea how I did it I couldn't find it later.. Just wondering if the t3 has that setting?
