Hi All,
In the last few days (Without any software update) my Z1 Compact has started to enter a halt-state, where it becomes totally unresponsive, with the reset switch, a power/volume reset, and the power controls having no effect.
Battery life shows as normal, and the problem appears to be related to either the touch screen or the internal accelerometers.
If I leave the phone screen-up, the problem does not appear to occur.
If I place it in my pocket, or leave it screen down on a surface, it enters this non-responsive state very quickly.
Just today, my provider (Telstra) released the Lollipop update, and I've applied this, and re-tested, but the problem persists.
It is worth nothing that it started occuring about 12 hours after I returned from a trip to the snow - But it took no tumbles, did not get wet/icy, and was not significantly exposed to temperatures (Australian ski-slopes rarely get below -2. The coldest the phone was directly exposed to was about 2 degrees Celsius.)
While there are some similiar sounding issues on the board, none of them seem to have the same symptomns.
Any advice appreciated.
It'll be wise to repair the phone with PCC

Hi Sophia,
A repair did not resolve the issue.
I took a backup, undertook the repair, did some testing - Which resulted in the same problem as above.
I then restored my data, and the same issues continued.
Is this potentially a hardware problem? How can I facilitate further troubleshooting?
I see T-L-C, i'm sorry to hear that didn't help. In this case I advise getting your phone assessed by an authorized repair agent asap. Contact your local Sony Xperia Customer Care team to discuss the process.
