Bluetooth 5.0 connection to 2 audio devices

Hallo everyone,

I just got my xz premium and ive tried connecting 2 Bluetooth speakers, but i couldnt figure out how to get both playing music, since there are 2 profiles, one  for calls and one for media. So my question is, is it possible to choose the media profile for both of them(i can only choose one media device at a time) or isnt it possible yet?

Hope i expressed myself und understandable.

Greetings

Galaxy S8: bluetooth 5.0, multi possible

Xperia XZP: bluetooth 5.0, multi impossible  😂

For bluetooth 5.0 multi audio you need a headphone that is also bluetooth 5.0 and there are none at this moment.

Samsung is just a work around but can't use bluetooth 5.0 yet either since it's not supported by Nougat. Android O does support it

I just got it confirmed that Xperia devices do not support multi A2DP functionality, and it is therefore not possible to connect the Xperia XZ Premium to two different Bluetooth speakers.

Hi, is this related? - I've got a Sony SmartWatch 3 (SWR50) that worked perfectly well with my Z5 but since upgrading to my XZ Premium I have had difficulties with it staying connected.

I have been able to initially set it up a number of times (you have to go through a full factory reset on the watch to connect it to a new device) but after a time (haven't been able to spot a pattern) it shows as not connected and the Android Wear app shows "trying to connect". I also see a message on both the watch and the phone to confirm the code for initial pairing.

I connect the phone to my car's bluetooth and that does not have any of the same problems

Thanks in advance

Hi Christopher, as far as I know bluetooth profiles get updates time to time and it`s the abilily of B5.0 to play multiple speaker. Can you please recommend that  "multi A2DP" to be add on future update, because it`s not a hardware issue like the FM Radio?

Thank you
