Bluetooth media no longer works after Android 10 update.
Interestingly enough Bluetooth does in fact work and I can make calls but devices don't see my phone as a "media device"
Did Sony rush out Android 10 for some reason?
I liked how reliable my Sony was.
This is the same exact reason I returned my Razer phone and will never buy another Razer product.
Anyone else experence this?
Really wish Sony would let me know my phone was updaing the entire Android OS before it goes.
And theres no way to roll back of course.
Ive tried changing Bluetooth AVRCP from 1.6 to 1.4 and it didn't mater.
I also tried disbale Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload but after it reboots (it forces a reboot) its still off.
Also tried changing Bluetooth Audio Codec to AAC (because I have one device I can connect to with Media and in the BT pairing page it says "HD Audio AAC"
Have tried toggling HD media and regular media off as toggles and it doesn't change anything.
I also keep getting popups every 2-5 minutes "Xperia Intelligence engin... isn't responding" seriously?
Also build # is 52.1.A.0.532
No one else?
I noticed it works fine in my GMC Acadia but doesn't work in my Chevy Silverado.
Bluetooth settings in phone don't show "HD media" in the Acadia but it shows in the Silverado.
It also shows HD Media on my Jabra headset (that does work)
Same here man. Bluetooth got really crap after the update.
It doesn't connect to my Outlander media unit. Before the update, it was working perfect.
Please solve asap.
Jeese still broken.
At least I can plug in via USB for android auto. Surprised they didn't break that too.
Not sure how you can spend a thousand bucks for a phone and they release updates that break major components on the phone.
Hope this doesn't turn into another Razer phone when BT was broken for 4 months before they updated it.
4 weeks later and bluetooth is still broken. Can't be serious. And android Auto is junk half the time it doesn't even connect (it shows connected but radio doesn't see the device.) but besides the point it defeats having wireless connections.
Will Sony ever get Bluetooth?
I didn't get a single bug fix or feature update from Android 9 to 10 except BT breaking and having a animated battery icon (who cares).
I own a bunch of Sony audio products but sadly I don't think I will ever purchase a Sony phone again. It's not right. Feels like they are trying to push people to replace new tech. I've never replaced an android phone under 5 years old before and besides the point this phone was 1k. Not like it was a bargin bin item
Update. Sony released another update.
Bluetooth is still broken.
Who wants to buy a used like new xz2 premium so I can go buy a working phone.
