Camera does not work

När jag startar mkn kamera kommer det upp en svart skärm bara med texten "okänt fel" gått in på Xperia testar och inget funkar varken fram eller bak kamera, testat starta i säkert läge men funkar inte heller. 

When I start my camera it comes up a black screen only with the text "unknown error" entered on Xperia tests and nothing works neither front or rear camera, tested start in safe mode but does not work either. - GT

Hi @Veronika81, sorry to hear about this.

I have translated your post to English as this is an International forum, please post any replies in English and it will be easier for me and other users to assist you.

Have you tried clearing data for the camera app? This will reset all settings for the camera app which might do the trick. To do this, find and tap Settings > Apps & notifications > Show all XX apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data. 

If the behaviour of the camera app persists after clearing data for the app you might need to repair the software using a computer and Xperia Companion. Keep in mind though that a software repair will erase all user data from the phone, so make sure to do a backup of your user data before the repair. 

If none of these measures manages to improve the functionality of the camera app, I am afraid that the only thing left to do is to get in contact with your local support team in order to have your phone sent to an authorized service center to be examined and possibly repaired. If you have any questions regarding the service such as routines, warranty and consumer laws, these kind of questions are best answered by your local support team as well.

Good day, 

My camera doesn't work. I'm in South Africa and I imported the phone from Taiwan. It shows a blank screen then the attached message. 

We have an authorised repair service centre but they don't have any parts since this phone never came to SA. Is it possible to ship parts to them to sort this out?

i have exactly the same thing., i think its connected to android 10. i reset my phone back to factory, performed a software repair. issue still there. i then sent it to sony repair centre, they said they fixed the camera. recieved phone back thursday. camera worked for one day, now back to this issue. 

This evening camera is working and launcing, but pauses up on static image. 

cant be hardware, deffo software i think. will send back to sony support again
