Hi. So my son is a complete idiot.

He put a password pattern on his phone and can't get it off.

He also changed his Google account password and wra unable to remember that. I have been able to reset the Google password but obviously it won't be recognised now on the handset.

I have tried to do the software repair but the laptop and the Sony repair programe doesn't recognise the device is plugged into the usb port (I suspect the phone is asking for permission on a pop up box we can't reply to because he's locked out!!!)

I've spent 3 hours going around in circles and I'm an about to throw the phone at the wall.

Anyway to get into the phone?

Hi @Frustratedmum, sorry to hear about this.

If you turn the device off and do not connect it to the computer and then start with the software repair you should be able to reset the device and get rid off the screen lock. Do note that all data stored on the internal storage will be deleted.

It's really good that you have access to the Google account as this will need to be used to log back in to the device after the reset has been completed.
