Experia Z3 video problems

My Z3 plays about three quarters of a video, then stops and says ;Cannot play video. Invalid URL. whats url got to do with a prerecorded video. This happens with the built in player and also vlc player.

I have converted with Pavtube video converter to 720P Video MP4 but they will not p[lay.

I have VLC, Z3 video player and MX player. All of them say 'cannot play video.' 

I have also done a factory reset but still no good.

How about formatfactory and then transfer them with MediaGo

I've solved the problem. I removed the SD caed and copied movies directly to the phone. They all play now.

So the SD caed must have been faulty.
