SRS-BTX300 - annoying power saving mode

Hello,

I was wondering whether you could help me. I've got an iMac and to make the long story short, its internal speakers went completely bust. So I thought that bying an external speaker would solve the problem. I bought SRS-BTX300 as it had some really good reviews. However I've enountered a few problems.

I first connected them to my computer via bluetooth. However when watching films I experienced noticable delays - basically the mouth movement and the sound were out of sinc.

So I connected the speaker to my iMac with a cable. But the speaker keeps shutting itself into power saving mode and I need time keep remembering to keep switching it back on. Is there a way to solve this problem? Thank you.

Hi there

According to the manual :

Auto Power Off.jpg

So if you have no music via the audio in after 20 minutes the speakers will power off.  Unfortunately there is no way to disable this Auto Power Off.  This device was never designed to be a replacement for PC/MAC speakers im afraid.

Cheers
