Frustrated: Free Headphones Xperia 1

Hi 

It's quite frustrating to find out I pre ordered with EE direct in the UK and I don't get the free headphone??  O2, sky and even EE through carphonewarehouse.... 

Surely this should of been open directly through Sony?

I also had the experience with the claim website not completing.  Ive emailed sony mobile and promotions team and company who runs the claim website, but no solid answer. It tells me that the IMEI has been claimed if I try again. Originally the button to complete said order was complete, but didnt move onto step 4 confirming it ?

Purchased from carphone warehouse on 28/05/2019. Filled in claim 30/05/2019 around 1pm. I assume 1000 pairs of headphones wouldnt be claimed within minutes ??

@daveydguk I'd ring the claim company tomorrow. They were very helpful when I had a minor issue with my claim. They will be able to confirm whether the IMEI number is registered and the claim has been successful or not. Let us know how you get on

This is the number I rang after making the claim with Carphone Warehouse for the EE offer:

I phoned Kondor and the lady said my claim had been submitted and was good to go, but have to wait 2 weeks to find out if I was successful in bagging a pair of cans.

PS. I claimed on the 30/05/2019 around 1pm the day the promotion was open.

Great to hear you are in the queue for the headphones - I put my claim in at 15:00 on the same day, so you are before me! 

Actually, the helpful lady at Kondor indicated that a,t that point in the claims submitted, I shouldn't have any problem in getting the headphones, so hopefully we are both in with a good chance.

(It's just a shame Sony didn't use Kondor for their e-store campaign...)

I put my claim in around 10.30am on the 30th. I also spoke with the kind lady at Kondor just to make sure my claim was ok, and from the conversation it seems as though I've already bagged the headphones, and that the claim is successful. I enquired about the 14 day cooling off period, and thats just to verify proof of purchase. I received an email shortly after with an order confirmation, showing the headphones ordered, the retail price of £329, and the discont of -£329 and free delivery. This all looks to me as though the headphones are already a successfully cvompleted order.  Hopefully....

I was actually going to get these headphones last Christmas, glad I waited now. Loving the Xepria 1, and getting the headphoines I've wanted for a while now for free. Win win...

Sounds like you may have gone out process to the official 14 days wait.

Would be interesting to know how many phones carphone sold ?
