I have a Sony a7iii camera and use the 200-600mm zoom on it. I would like to get closer pictures but unsure as to which teleconverter would be best to use. I have read conflicting reports / reviews but would like some first hand knowledge and experience with regards these. Thanks.

I can't comment on the x2 , l use the x1.4 on the 200-600 with a A1 and 7R4 and happy with the results.
Note you get a stop loss so min f9 at 600 which can be unfortunate if not much light, x2 will loose more.
I also use it with the 100-400, and 70-200 f2.8, 280 at f4 is useful.
Note with the x2 and 200-600...
- Focal plane phase detection AF cannot be used for focal lengths with a maximum aperture value of F13 or above, so contrast AF will operate.
