55XF9005 Bravia Rebooting Issue

HI There,
Started having a rebooting issue yesterday. On turning on the screen goes through a continual reboot sequence (nougat). Not sure if the tv updated any software, we didn't. The tv doesn't complete the boot up sequence. We have tried a forced factory reset (3 button type) but that doesn't seem to have done anything. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to try next, Appreciate any help.

Have you tried unplugging the TV for a few minutes, replugging in and then attempting to power on?

If you've already tried that plus a reset with no luck then it's time to contact 

Support.

 

Let us know what they say.

Hi @Bluefields   Just to add, make sure that you unplug everything from the in and outputs including the aerial.

Like all modern electrical gismos that's always the first thing that's tried. It is also part of the "forced factory reset". But unfortunately, it made no difference apart from increasing my stress level.

Hi Sonyuser30 yrs,

When I got bored trying the resets etc, the wife had a go and she disconnected all in/outputs, but alas it didn't make any difference. Just made me smile when she tried to reconnect them back.

Hey, at this point, if you've done all the necessary troubleshooting steps, I believe you'll need to contact Sony Support as your TV will need to be inspected by an engineer. You can contact them from this link. I hope this helps

Hi Elodin,
My wife raised a case with support on Monday, sent all the requested info and have not since. So I raised it again yesterday and resent all the info again yesterday. I am awaiting a response now. Hopefully soon.....
