I have a KDL-47W805A Sony Bravia. It sometimes struggles to get a WiFi connection even though the internet strength is ok. I am unable to pair bluetooth devices with it, so the issues may be linked

Hi,

I think the best thing to do is to get in touch with Sony support about this so they can provide the proper help.

It's a constant and permanent issue that has yet to be rectified and the bluetooth issue is due to Sony not implementing a particular codec so even some of their own kit is unusable and only a few bluetooth devices will pair.

Sony Support are less than useless so don't expect anything outsiode of switch it off and on again

Sony 49XF9005 TV

Ethernet connection to BT router

Randomly tv loses connection to internet only way to fix it is to reboot router tried different cable's a factory reset nothing

I've had this sorry excuse for a tv 1 month now this issue is just 1 issue of many I've tried Sony support and I've come to the conclusion that the support network doesn't exist the sales department on the other hand can't answer the phone quick enough to take your money

I wouldn't mind not been contacted if the issues were fixed

I have a Sony Bravia KD-55X8509C ever since I bought it in 2015 I have had problems with connecting and holding internet connection with my router. For the past six weeks I have had no connection at all. All other devices  laptop, tablet, phone, kindle, have no problem. Today I had my broadband provider engineer round , he confirmed that everything is as should be and my speed is 39Mps. He highlighted a forum advice  to disable auto time and date and managed to make a connection I will leave the TV on and connected until bedtime and hope it connects in the morning if it doesn't connect in the morning I shall return it to John Lewis hopefully for a full refund under the 5 year warranty and never touch Sony again.

UPDATE to this issue

Ever since I disabled youview for the programme guide and switched to using the built in freeview guide I've had no further connection issues so if you've not yet tried that give it a go plus the freeview guide is miles better than the youview guide

24hrs later and the connection hasheld so disabling the auto time and date facility seems to have worked for me!!

Last solution worked for 3 days what a waste of space, I am awaiting an engineer from John Lewis arriving on Friday.

Any further luck with this?

I installed the TP link plugs but these are a little troublesome as well.

Ran a connection test and only getting 6mbps. Phone on WiFi is pulling in 26mbps.

Would really just prefer my TVs WiFi worked as it's meant to
