Any further luck with this?

I installed the TP link plugs but these are a little troublesome as well.

Ran a connection test and only getting 6mbps. Phone on WiFi is pulling in 26mbps.

Would really just prefer my TVs WiFi worked as it's meant too.

Engineers came out and fitted a new main board which didn't work, they then took it away and worked on it at the workshops on return it worked but I have to do a soft reset on most days, if that keeps working I'll live with it.

Very hard to connect to wifi. Have to go through set up sequence every time and then it still won't connect or find router. Maybe get connected one in ten attempts

I have very slow wifi and LAN speeds on my XBR-55x850c tv.    I get 300 megabites on my computer and phones with high speed Xfinity.  I only get 10-20 megabites on my TV eityher thru LAN or wifi.  Are some settingsa wrong?

Have you read all the thread? How did you measure the network speed on your tv?

Hello. The model of my tv is KD49XF8096. I have serious problem with wifi connection . Many times on starting the wifi the internal software switch of wifi turn to off on its own, after that is not regognize any local network,  i turn it on manually and after that on its own again turns of. The authorized technician coming to my home and puts the latest version of firmware, the problem not solved. After that tecnician takes the tv and telling me that replaces all the internal electric hardwares  boards for wifi, after that the problem stll remains.

After that i replace the channels of my router. the problem is still there

Other devices (tablets, mobile phones) doesnt have similar problem with the wifi network on my home

The device is repairing only with factory resets, but after that not periodically the problem show up again

I bought the tv before 8 months and i have the problem 6 months ago. i believe that sony must replace my tv, what is your opinion

Thank you

I have the same problem with my 65 inch Sony android TV, Sony don't seem to be interested, looking at the forum this issues has been around for years, Sony seem to be incapable of providing a fix.

My fix will be

1. Never but another Sony TV!
2. Buy a Fire stick and use that for smart services

Both of the above are not ideal but I'd bet that hell will freeze over before Sony provide you with a new TV!!

I'm not sure who you contacted to get the repair done but it's worth looking at this article

KD-55XF9005 V8.0.0 V66520 kernel: 3.10.79

Since V6.6520  ( PKG6.6520.0252EUA )  software update we cannot connect TV to the internet. It connects to the LAN but without internet access.

WIRED was working perfectly and allowed software upgrade!
