Apple tv+ app

Hi does anyone know if the AF9 will be getting the Apple tv+ app when it comes out?

Just don't want to go fork out for an apple box if the tv will get the app fairly soonish.#

I know Samsung will have the app.

I have XG9595 and all the apps you mention. Apple TV+ came with the latest
Android update and Britbox is there in the play next section with iPlayer,
All4 etc

Agree I really thought my xg9005 

would have the Apple TV app but sadly it’s not one of the TVs on the list!

Installed mirroring app doesn’t work either

Maybe you have the extremely crappy KD49XG9005, Sony apparently gave it an underperforming chip that can’t handle the Apple TV app, even though Netflix, Prime & Disney+ etc work. 
it’s still android TV and not updated to Google. It’s really crappy that this TV is abysmal and especially very very very very dark when trying ANY HDR.

But that is the point 

Sony have deliberately made this tv in such a way that certain apps are unable to be displayed on it plus probably so many other features that are unavailable.

Sony are a disgrace and should be giving refunds or replacement sets to everyone who were missold and duped into buying this terrible item.

Hello @dabasto98, based on this link, the XG90 doesn't support Apple TV 😞 the only solution would be a an external device such as an Amazon Firestick. What other features are unavailable on your TV?

I wish I had Apple TV on my list of apps. I just think that the development of Android technology brings Android users new useful features. But Android is still too far away from that. So I'll still buy an Apple device. Yes! I want that! You know, I've read a lot about Mac Studio on zumroad.com. After buying a new Apple watch, I'll save up for a Mac Studio. This computer will be the most powerful working device I've ever bought. My girlfriend will tell me I'm crazy, but I'm sure she'll be happy with my earnings after this upgrade.
