I have the misfortune of having purchased a Sony KD-49XE9005. It was between that and the Samsung. However the picture looked so much more than the Samsung. However I have to say setting up is not quite as straightforward as my Samsung I am replacing. One hoped it was just a straight swap of the HDMI cables and bobs your uncle.
Oh no, how wrong was I???
i have Dolby digital coming from my amazon and Netflix apps but that is it. And that was after a lot of fiddling around. I have lost Dolby digital from my sky, Apple TV and PS4
my PS4, Apple TV and Blu Ray feed directly into my surround amp and one hdmi from amp into tv, then have sky hd connected directly into tv and optical cable from sky to the amp.
the surround is plugged into hdmi 3 (arc) and sky into hdmi 2
am I missing something
