Sony KD 55AG8 to Sony HT X8500 Soundbar

Hi, need some simple advice as not technical at all. Every time I fast forward on Sky Q recordings to skip past adverts there is approx 5 second delay in sound which means me then rewinding back a bit so that sound starts again when program is back.
also when I select input through the tv remote there is picture but no sound I have to hit any button on sky remote for sound to kick in?
I have hdmi arc out from sound bar to hdmi 3 arc in on tv and hdmi out from Sky q to hdmi in on sound bar. Any help will be gratefully received.

Hi Swirvo,

Does the issue happen from any other input or any other external device?

Hi, I have swapped cables still no sound until button on sky remote pressed.
If I bypass sound bar completely it works using same leads and same connection on the tv? The fault has gone!
If I watch digital tv and then press input button on top of remote to select hdmi3 arc to watch sky q I get picture but sound never appears until sky remote pressed.
Cheers

Hi Swirvo,

To be honest, I doubt that this is related to the sky box more than the TV.

Do you possibly have another TV to test the box with?

Hi Swirvo,

Could you try using an optical cable instead?
