I have a 65 inch Sony X900F. When I am in the Google Play Store and try to purchase a movie to watch I get the following error. DF-DFERH-01. I have tried going online to find a fix for this but all of the solutions deal with phones or tablet. I have cleared the app cache. I have disabled it, enabled it. I deleted my account, added my account, reinstalled the app. deleted the updates to the app, reinstalled the updates for the apps. Everything I try has not worked.
Oddly enough I can play movies that I have purchased in the past and are in My Library. I just can't play movies that I have to purchase.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Done a factory reset today. (Issues with the TV randomly rebooting when watching FreeSat)
This issue with the play store error is still present too.
Hey @Jbennett360, does it reboot while watching the FreeSat only or everything? and you're getting this Google Play Store issue when purchasing movies only?
Has only done whilst watching FreeSat. I've logged the issue with Sony, who are apparently looking into/fixing it with a FW update that will be released in the summer(!!!)
Play store is just general. Go to any app in the play store, scroll down, under the screenshots it shows the error message along with a button that says retry. Nothing happens if you press it.
Probably due to the fact the TV is massively out of date. Android 9 and July 21 security patch
Have you tried to enable the Streaming Channel Setup in Watching TV, then try the PlayStore once more?
No
