how to record in jep or mp4 ,, using camcorder ,,,sony HDR-CX 190X

I am using a sony camcorder ,model HDR-CX190E but have problem with playing back what I record , can someone tell me how to record in JPEG or MP4 ??? THANKS

When you say that you have a problem playing back what you record, do you mean that you are unable to view your captured movies and pictures on the internal screen or a TV/computer?

Regarding your other question, when you put the camera into still image mode, it will capture images in JPEG format. Regarding the other file formats for video, when you import your movies to your computer, you can then use the software supplied with the camera to convert them into other video file formats such as .avi or .mp4. For the CX-190, you can download the latest software from the official support page here:
