Is there such a model as the HDR-CX730? OR has it always been the HDR-CX730E. The reason I am asking is that on amazon they have both listed. I obviosley want the latest model and wondered if this is just a discription error on Amazons part or if infact the CX730 is a older model with less features

Hi
The "E" at the end of the model No. usually denotes a european (PAL) model as opposed to an america that is NTSC.

Hello Dave - Welcome to the Sony Forums
What scav242 is saying is correct - the 'E' at the end of the model number designates that the camera is intended for the European market and this means that it will use the PAL video system as opposed to the NTSC (the difference in video format is hardware based as opposed to software based which is why there is a slight difference in the product model number).
Thanks,
Simon

Thanks for the replies. I will find out tomorrow if it was a typo. I can find no listing for a model HDR-CX730 on the sony web site only the HDR-CX730E.
