Manual Shutter speed control for DSC-RX10M4

Hello all,

the shutter speed control on my DSC-RX10M4 has stopped working. I cannot set the shutter speed in S or M modes but it works OK automatically in all other modes.

Is there a setting which could have caused this?

Hi Wagson,

Can you please try if a factory reset solves the issue?

If it doesn't fix the problem please contact a repair centre.

I have tried the 'Settings Reset' with no success.

Is there a hardware factory reset available?

Hello again Peter,

I've just retried the Settings Reset menu and found the 'initialize' part and it has fixed the problem.

Glad you're sorted.

With the RX10Miv one has to remember that nearly all controls and functions are "fly by wire", computer controlled, not physical, and computers "hang up".

Doing an initialisation fixes most problems -  but you lose all your saved settings which is annoying.
