No Touch Focus using Imaging Edge

Hello!

I just bought a RX10 IV. I am now testing it together with the Imaging Edge Mobile app but when using it I can’t find a way to focus on the subject, using my phone. I was hoping that just touching the part you want to focus on the phone screen would set the focus.

As I understand, at this time, there is no Touch Focus using Imaging Edge with any of the current cameras. Does anyone know if Sony is planing to release any softwareupdate, in order to fix this?

Hi Staffan,

Touch AF is supported with various models but unfortunately not with yours.

There might be a chance that this option will be added in future for your model but I cannot confirm yet.

So according to that list just the DSC-HX50 and HX-50V are supported?  What a pointless exercise the Imaging Edge is!
