BDP-S6700
My new BDP-S6700 Blue-ray player will not output audio on some of my DVDs. The player is connected to my Hi-Fi amplifier. Blue-ray discs & CDs produce audio. Of 16 DVDs I've tried 7 do not give any audio. All give video on my TV.
If the coaxial connector is removed from the Blue-ray player and connected to the DVD player (Sony DVPSR150) all the DVDs give audio.

Hi chrisbwhittle,
I'd recommend that you check if those discs are compatible with your old DVD player. I've found the playable discs and formats on Page 9 of the user manual here: https://bit.ly/2VEstxf
