Bluray 3D player - NO DISC
Hi there. New to this but hope I can get some help. I have a Sony BDPS490 3D Bluray Player. It's not over-used but was bought in 2014. Fancied wathcing a 3D movie the other night and it just quoted "empty".
It's out of warrantee and to fix ... well, might as well forget that. I took it apart and cleaned the lens with no prob. Still "empty".
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi there,
Welcome to the Sony Community.
Have you checked if your Blu-ray Player firmware has the latest version? You can see more details on this here.
Let me know how you get on.
Best wishes,
Sean Mc

Hi there
Yes. I have completed the update to the latest firmware. I tested the
player with a dvd/3dvd and both times it states ‘empty’.
I have also taken the player apart and cleaned the lens.
I think it’s just done. Have ordered another from eBay for a very good
price, exactly the same, as I have Sony 3D glasses, so hopefully it will
all work out.
Not impressed though how little I have used this player and how quickly it
... just died.
Thank you for your advice.
