Evening all,
Really annoying little bug has turned up that I can't sort. I think it appeared when I did the update to M41.R.0515 around Christmas but moved house and only just got stuff set back up and it is still there.
Swapped HDMI cables, HDMI sockets, reset everything numerous times. Any one got any ideas??
I have an Apple TV 4K, connected to the SAT/Cable HDMI of my STR-DN1080. It is in turn connected to HDMI 3 (photo is HDMI 2, tried both!) on my KD-65XE9305. While watching TV, or movies, from the Apple TV the info bar on the tv is constantly flashing up, every 30-60 secs, as if I am changing inputs but I am not. It doesn't seem to matter if it is a 4K Dolby Vision movie or Discovery+/BBC iPlayer/ITV Hub.
Only really use the Apple TV, don't have Sky and don't use an aerial.
Everything is up to date with the latest firmwares. Using 4k UHD high speed HDMI cables. Apple TV is set to 4K SDR 60Hz, match range & frame rate, Chroma 4:4:4.
Any suggestions welcome before I just throw it out!!

Hi,
This is a known issue of your TV. It should be fixed with the next firmware release.
Meanwhile please disable the info banner in the TV settings.
Cheers
Peter

I have the same issue with my KD-55XF9005 TV connected to my STR-DN1080 that is playing a Blu-ray on UBP-X500 or anything else connected to STR-DN1080. I cannot find a way to turn of the info banner on KD-55XF9005. Do you know how I can do this? It's worth noting I have YouView disabled on the TV.
Also, the STR-DN1080 randomly turns on and off while the TV is off during the day.
Kind regards,
Geoff

The info banner issue is a known one and Sony has confirmed it's being investigated. It doesn't affect all TVs though which is probably why it's taking so long.

Hi Joe,
It happens a lot less than it was. But no, not fully solved yet.
Kind regards,
Geoff

I've recently seen this issue mentioned on Sony's social media accounts as still being worked on, I was hoping to see some good news, but nothing as of yet.
