downloads don't get erased

There is some sort of problem with the downloads in my xperia. In the system storage when I check the status of my storage(Settings-->Storage) it shows downloads of 63.29 mb,but there is no downloaded file that I can delete It. It is eating up my free system space, Also I connected to Computer, but it also shows my download folder empty.What should I do??

Clear it, it could be data from third party apps.also clear cached data

As uli says,try to clear cached data and using a file explorer locate download folder and erase the content.
