Faces 'melting' on KDL-55W815B with Bluray

I have had my 55" Sony for a month now and we are experiencing a lot of distortion when playing blurays (the Matrix was the first disc I saw this on).  Movement of faces lags and so looks like they are melting or under water.  I am using a high quality HDMI cable and I have tried HDMI 1 and HDMI 4 sockets on the back of the TV.  I am playing the bluray on a Sony BDP-S560(software version 11.4.011 - latest it says).  I have also tried a PS3 and although it is not quite as bad, it is still there.  Faulty TV?

I don't know what's "melting faces", but did you try disabling the motion interpolation option? I think it's called Motionflow. Also try disabling other image processing options.
