Just bought this TV & the only setup issue I'm left with is getting it to automatically switch to an HDMI input when that device is turned on.
The 2 devices I'm using are a Sky+HD box & a Panasonic BluRay recorder that both auto switched with my Samsung & Panasonic TVs.

Hi there
I was going to respond to your post yesterday - and forgot. Appologies.
I think your problems are due to HDMI-CEC functions. Sony calls is Bravia Sync. Panasonic calls it Viera Link and various other brands call it something else. In a perfect world all these different branded devices "should" all function the same. Unfortunately it does not always happen that way. Different manufacturers implement this in different ways of which there really is no set standard.
On each of the devices (ie TV, Pana recorder, YouView) you need to switch this setting on as well as look at the various settings that it has.
In regards to the SkyHD box, I found two links that should explain the issue:
Cheers.
Looks like it might be more of a SkyHD problem, although the Sony is not totally faultless. My Panasonic recorder now switches to the HDMI input , but won't switch back when powered off & a YouView box works perfectly - switching automatically to & from the HDMI input.

Yes , those links are totally in line with my own experiencies - unfortunately.
Previously my 5year old Panasonic would auto-switch any device via HDMI as it does seem to just detect a presence & switch accordingly.
I might look at some of these auto-switching HDMI splitters if the wife can't cope with this new way of working.
