Hi there

Unfortuantely there will be no update for 2014 4K TVs.  I dont think they are capable of HDR anyhow.

I understand that your not happy, but at the time of your TV the HDR specification has not even been ratified (agreed on).  Also it takes time for Sony to plan/engineer/manufacture TVs - HDR has only started in the last 12 months.

Also, at the end of the day, there is still a lack of content for HDR - just like early 4K adopters, it takes time.  Give it another year or so, and HDR will become quite standard in 4K TVs and hence the price should start dropping a bit.

i was going to buy a ps4 pro

but the tv is not HDR

and i have not got the money to buy a new sony HDR tv

i havea PS4 pro and a KD-55X8505B

thats not HDR but its running in 4k so much better than 1080p

also the TV and colours are that good i would not worry about it!
