On my KDL-46W905A the USB register is greyed out,
if i try to register my USB flash stick it say not possible
your internet video supplier does not allow this,
is this my Netflix or something else?
Hi there
Sorry, Im a little confused. Can you explain why you are registering the USB drive? Do you want to record Freeview TV?
Where does Netflix come into this?
Cheers
Hi
I am living in Denmark so no freeview, i am useing a VPN
with gives me a USA IP and the TV is on this network,
i also have all the SEN icons on this network.
I could of course change this to a Danish IP network
if you think it might help?
Hi there
I got the idea now. You dont need to register the USB drive for use on netflix or any other smart app. You only need to register the USB drive if you want to record TV shows using the TVs internal tuner. You cannot record from netflix to USB.
If you are using the USB drive to playback media files, it does not need to be registered.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Hi thanks for repy i can play video and music from this USB flash stick
plays fine.
But my problem is i can copy chanel lists fine, but when i want to import
back to tv it then tells me on the tv found new chanel list do you want to
import and install this on tv i say yes,it then says failed your internet video service
does not allow this?
I have tried this before but never got it to work, i am asking again because after
2 years with this tv i found USB port 2 and 3 the html manual does not show USB
ports 2 and 3 at all in fact the user manual is very bad and not much help.
