Hi all,

My girlfriends laptop was on it's bottom, so I had to rebuild it (XP).

I've done so, but it seems a lot of the drivers are missing...mainly sound and wireless adapter.

I've checked on this site and it doesn't even recognise the model. Can somebody please please help me as this laptop is useless otherwise.

welcome to Questions & Answers..

PCG-7Q1M you have quoted is the chassis number which makes it difficult to find information as this is NOT the actual model number..

The correct model number can be found just below the VAIO's display, see image below..

Once you've loacted the model number let us know if you need further help to locate the drivers, etc...

That is an invalid model number.

Try looking on the screen surround and you should find a valid model type.

The model is going to be something like VGN-FJxx and you will find the drivers here: -

But you may have to change the model!!!
