Is my graphics card fried -VAIO FW41M/H

Hi just hoping theres an expert who can help me ,  i know a little about pc/laptops , my mothers 2 year old fw41m just stopped producing a picture , nothing. I tried an external monitor same result , tried different charger nothing. Lights come on and can hear fan.

The graphics is ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 4650 , i dont know if the card itself can be replaced or need to do the whole MB , any help /advice/ideas most appriciated - thanks

Unfortunately it would be the whole MB as the ATi chip is soldered in.

Just try 2 things: -

1. Shine a torch onto the screen - can you see anything?

2. With the external monitor attached, press Fn+F7 to toggle between the laptop screen and the external monitor.

If still no joy it is probably a trip to the repairers.
