information regarding windows

i have bought a new sony vaio laptop Model VPCCB32FD with preinstalled windwos 7 Home premium.now i want to change the window because its 1 year old installed. i have got two discs with titles Recovery 1 and Recovery 2 so i wana ask that these are the discs which can be used for recovery or installing the windows. thanks

Hi Sifat,

On the assumption that the recovery disks were created by you on this machine then yes these will restore your notebook to ‘As Delivered’ – boot the notebook with recovery disk 1 in the optical drive.

If the recovery partition is still intact you also have the option to recover to factory settings by pressing and holding F10 at boot to launch the hard drive recovery utility.

Be aware that either of these options will format the hard drive and all personal data will be lost.
