mylaptop does not detect any cd/dvds

hi, can any one help me... my sony vaio VGN-FZ21S does not detect cd/dvds since i have bought it... is there a way tht i can get it started????

welcome to Club Vaio..

Right Click on the Computer desktop icon and select Properties..

In the new System window Click on Device Manager..

Click Continue on the Use Account Window..

Expand CD/DVD drives

Do you have a warning icon or error message, if so what is listed in the Device Status box.?
