Problem With Network Controller Driver

Hello,

I installed a fresh copy of windows XP on my VGN - FS415B vaio laptop. I installed the drivers for all the devices (video, modem, sound card...etc)using the originally installed package here:

http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-FS415B

However, I could not install the driver for the network controller (which I believe is the wireless adapter) I tried all the files in this package and all other packages on the webpage above but in vain.

I tried re-installing windows XP again but that did not work.

P.S. I installed a fresh copy of windows XP a few months ago and was able to get all the drivers installed easily.

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Troubles-Maker,

glad to read that you've solved your problem..

Could you please post what solution you used as it may help other Vaio users with a similar problem in the future.

Hi, I'm getting a message 'Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network ' when I try to connect my VAIO to my wireless broadband, and my ISP have suggested I reinstall wireless network drivers .

Is this the same problem you are having per chance ?

I am also expieriencing problems with my network controller driver also, it won't allow me to connect to wifi, so i can only use ethernet and my internet speeds are dropping really low.

I need help on how to get it back, would be much appreciated.:)
