Restore to factory settings

Had my Vaio all of 4 days and need to restore to factory settings! Registry is corrupt. I thought it is a simple case of restoring from reovery area of hard disc but each time I try I'm asked to insert recovery discs. I haven't made any discs and don't see the need at this point as my HDD is working perfectly. How do I "start again" ?

Try this..

Start your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo screen press F10 repeatedly this normally should start the recovery wizard..
