Using Vaio as dvd player
I'd like to use my VGN-CR11Z as a dvd player with my new Sony Bravia KDL37W5500 tv. Can anyone advise me on which cable(s) I might need?
Thank you!

Hi bollyp and welcome to Club Vaio.
You have a choice of two connections - but unfortunately you do not have the best connection as you do not have a HDMI output.
You can connect using a normal VGA computer monitor cable like these: -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h__1_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=monitor+cable+5m...
Or you can connect using a S-Video cable like these: -
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=S-Video+cable&x=0&y=0
Your Vaio and your Bravia have both these connections.
These both only send the picture - so you will need a cable from the Vaio's headphone socket to the Bravia's stereo sound input to carry sound ...... like these: -

Thanks! Sounds like a lot of hassle though - may just have to get a DVD player, or better still a PS3 instead!
