Vaio FE21S knocks out Netgear Wireless Router

Hi all

I have a Netgear Rangemax 240 Wireless router that has always been reasonably stable (for a netgear!)

Anyway since I purchased the Vaio FE21S I have been having some trouble with it.

The Sony connects wirelessly and then every so often the wireless connection drops out. If I look at the available wireless points my wireless router has disappeared from those available. If I press F5 to refresh eventually it comes back up. Sometimes it comes back up as unsecured even though it isnt. This can happen for a couple of times before eventually the router no longer broadcasts wirelessly. The only way to bring it backup is to reboot it via an ethernet cable - a big hassle.

I read a similar thread about turning the power up on the wireless card however since it is my router that is being knocked out by my Vaio I dont think the answer is exactly the same. Anyone seen anything like this or have any ideas?

Same with me whenever i close Azureus (3com Router)... kicks out the wireless connection

Have a search for netgear routers on this forum.

A few of us have had problems with losing connection when using them.
I'm afraid (as the manual says) the last resort is to unplug the router for a couple of minutes then plug it back in.
