VGN-SZ Series Laptop 3G Connection using Vodafone Sim Card

I have VGN-SZ series laptop with a built in 3G card. When I bought the laptop it came with a T-mobile sim card for mobile internet access. I was not happy with T-mobile so I bought a Vodafone Sim card. I have installed the software from Vodafone, however it is not picking up the built in device. Vodafone mobile connect comes up as an option for connecting to the internet however when I try and connect it will not. Sony are not supporting me as they said they only support T-mobile and Vodafone do not support sony. HAs anyone managed to get their laptop with a built in card to connect usign a Vodafone sim?

Your help would be most appreciated, I have been trying for two days.

Hi Naki and welcome to Club Vaio.

A few links for you to look at: -

If you get disconnect problems try this Sony patch: -

It actually disables selective suspend (a Vista feature) on WWAN units, and as a result, the connection should not drop anymore.
