VGX-XL201 CEK Upgrade to HDD and Memory

What HDD and memory would you suggest to upgrade my XL201?

I have touched nothing, so I guess my memory is
1GB DDR2 SDRAM Memory 533MHz (2x512MB - 3GB Max), 2MB Cache

If I add new drives, will RAID features suddenly spring to life, or do I need to be careful in choosing the drive?

I have the XL202 and Vaio released new bluray s/w in December. Now my DVD Deadmans Chest doesn't play anymore. Vaio have had my unit for a month back in Alsace but did nothing not even open and read the letter I sent stuck to the unit. I rented a Deadmans Chest from Amazon just to check my own DVD but the new one still doesn't play. Have you had any similar experience.

Hi, you need the following memory: non ECC, 667, 5300 DDR2, CL5 1.8V, unbuffered 240 pin, 4 slots in XLseries, 2 used (2x512Mb). Not doing mine until i upgrade to Vista.

As for harddisk, IT Troll uses a SATA 512Gb drive in addition to the stock 256Gb, he may be able to share with you which one?

Consider the Hauppauge Win-TV 500 dual freeview tuner too, whilst you have the box open! 😉
