MHL to HDMI Xperia X

I am having trouble finding an MHL adapter that works with the Xpreria X - Can anyone help???  One of the main reasons I chose the phone was to be able to connect my TV to it to stream films etc.  Does the MHL 3.0 adapter work??

While the phone doesn't support MHL it's still possible to stream for example films from the phone to your TV. This is possible to do wirelessly using a Chromecast, Miracast (Screen Mirroring) or DLNA.

If your TV does not support Miracast or DLNA, the easiest solution is probably to get a Google Chromecast that you connect to your TV but it requires that you also have WiFi at home. The preinstalled Album app supports Chromecast and will display the cast icon when you have a Chromecast in the network.

What?  The HDMI cable?  I am unsure - this is the problem I am having - i have an adapter that works with the Z 1 2 and 3 - but will not work with the X

Its possible, I've just checked the white paper for X and can find no mention of MHL in the supported technologies.
