I recently bought Xperia xz2 compact and updated it to Android 9. Unfortunately I cannot find the setting which indicates the battery level next to the bluetooth sign. Any help will be appreciated.
By the way: I am using German (Austria) version
(Weiß jemand, welche Einstellung ich vornehmen muss, damit ich den Batterieladezustand gleich neben dem Bluetooth-Symbol sehe? Freue mich über jede Rückantwort.

Hi again, @GeraldV.
I am sorry, that is correct, battery level can be shown in the quick settings on our phones as well for bluetooth devises that supports this feature (see image below), however it is not possible to show the battery level in the status bar.
Again, sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. If you have any further questions, let me know!
Hi @GeraldV, let me see if I can help out here!
In order to show the battery percentage next to the battery icon, find and tap Settings > Battery > Advanced > enable the switch next to the text "Battery percentage".
I hope that answered your question!
Dear Martin,
Many thanks for your prompt reply.
I did not mean the percentage of the built in battery.
I mean the bluetooth battery level indicator next to the bluetooth icon.
I am sorry for the misinterpretation, @GeraldV.
I am afraid that this is not a featur in any of our models You can view the battery percentage of the connected Bluetooth accessory in Settings > Device connection, but it is not possible to display the battery level or battery percentage of a connected bluetooth accessory in the status bar.
I hope that answered your question!
Dear Martin,
Thank you for your patience.
I do not want to see the percentage.
There is just a little battery symbol on the right side of the bluetooth symbol which looks like an upright standing battery and shows the fullness of the battery (not the percentage). I don't know how to add a photo to show you, what I mean.
Gerald
Hi again @GeraldV.
I am sorry if my previous post was a bit unclear, it is not possible to show the battery level of a connected bluetooth accessories in the status bar on any of our devices. You can however check the battery percentage for a connected bluetooth accessory in the device settings for bluetooth provided that the connected device supports this.
I hope that answered your question!
Hi Martin,
I am very sad to read this (although my old Huawei Y6 with Android 4.4. showed it)
Android 8.1 feature spotlight: Bluetooth battery level comes to all devices, now shows battery bar in Quick Settings.
I will accept your answer as solution but I am very disappointed.
Best regards
Gerald
