Stamina Clock causing data connection issues

I've been using my Z5 Compact with all options underneath Stamina Mode switched on, however, I've noticed that upon picking up my phone to use it, the data connection isn't instantly available, rather I have to wait for 10 seconds or so before I can use any data.

I've been trying to isolate where the issue lies and it seems that as long as I have Stamina Clock disabled, all is well. I've only noticed this since the recent firmware update, but not sure whether that is the cause.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

When Stamina clock is enabled, there might be a delay for the data connection. This is planned to fixed in the next software update.

@Skev

Could you test it on safe mode ?

I've noticed taht with other Xperias there's a lag switching from WiFi to data or data off to data on and stamina but mostly due to poor network coverage.

Nice suggestion and it doesn't seem to be happening in safe mode.

Guess I can live without Stamina Clock.

@Skev

if it doesn't happen on safe mode then it's a third party app causing this problem.

The firmware update has also caused wake form sleep connection problems for me, wifi in particular. I often get an exclamation mark next to the wifi icon, which sometimes goes away after a minute or so but sometimes it doesn't and i have to turn wifi on and off to get my connection back.

I also have the Stamina stuff turned on, so will try turning the Stamina clock off and see if that fixes it.

Hi @Skev

It sounds like you have Extended standby turned on, that is supposed to disable mobile data and Wi-Fi while the screen is off, I would suggest trying Stamina mode with this option disabled.

I do have Extended Standby on, but the problem doesn't manifest itself until Stamina Clock is switched on too.

I'm happy with the reason being some outside influence (given that it doesn't happen in safe mode), but perhaps would have expected it to happen with Extended Standby, as you suggested.

So yes - turning of the stamina clock has solved my wifi wake up connection bug too.

Sony, can we have a bug fix please? Slightly_smiling_Face

I have the exact same problem with my white Z5C, turned off the Stamina Clock and the connection is coming quick again after unlocking.

Thanks for the tip. Slightly_smiling_Face
