Xperia Z5 Premium. Grainy blurred images in dark surroundings

Why do I get grainy blurred images in dark surroundings when using Superior Auto with my Xperia Z5 Premium?

Do I have to use manually settings?

That is to be expected, the camera adjusts the iso settings in dark areas to the highest level which in turn makes the images noisy or grainy Xperia Tutorial Photography

So manual adjustment is the answer? 

I ask because I did not know better. Thought flash arranged this in auto focus?

in shooting low light images here are some tips

1.) hold the camera very still. or better yet use a tripod

2.) have another light source, if your flash could not illuminate the subject,

3.) use night mode from the manual settings, adjust EV settings
