the youtube application does not work after updating KDL-43WF805 to version 6.714

After updating the TV to version up to 6.7140, the YouTube application for Android TV version stopped working properly: 2.12.08 hangs up and does not show when you start the video. while the application does not hang and you can work with it. other applications work without problems and display video. Resetting to factory settings, clearing the cache did not solve the problem. re-install TV update via USB not given.

Hey @vilivik,

Are you referring to the app cache or have you tried clearing the cached data for the TV (Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) and then restarting it by holding power?

did two cleanings. cleared the application cache and then reset the TV to factory settings. Nothing changed

If you have the option under the Settings - Apps - YouTube screen to Uninstall/Uninstall Updates, try it since the issue might be with the app itself (broken update or something like that).

it is impossible to delete the application itself, but I did not delete the updates, but I did not get the result. On the new release of the TV update, the old YouTube application does not work

Have you tried using a different network in case it's blocked on the TV for some reason? (LAN or hotspot for example)

Exactly same issue here with my XF9005. Youtube works only after fresh restart. Whenever TV goes to sleep it does not work anymore.

Hope it will be fixed very soon, it is a shame that such a bug exists with a native application.

@vilivik

The support page for the TV seems to indicate that the model isn't even available in the UK, perhaps local support can help?

@R.Zorge

I believe the issue you're having is completely different,have you tried uninstalling updates or clearing the cached data from the beginning of the thread?

Hope this helps!

I tried everything before posting: clearing youtube app data and cache, unistalling updates, changing system time in settings to network time back and forth. Nothing helped.

As of now, problem solved itself a couple of days ago. Did not do anything particular, just started working. Will see if this persists.
