XD9305 loss of all power

Our TV purchased 15th Jan 2017 has stopped working. The engineers came out and told us the LD board needs replacing.  They didn't seemed surprised so we googled the TV and this website has highlighted just how many people have experienced this problem.  Will be contacting well known department store tomorrow because the TV has obvious faults and in our opinion should have been recalled and definitely not sold with this defective board. This store usually offers great customer care. It's not fair to take money from people knowing this fault exists. We have had no TV for a week so far and it looks like another week until the replacement board can be replaced. This is so wrong and we will not be excepting a repair, we will be getting advice unless they can offer a suitable replacement.

Can you please keep to one thread.  I know that you are aware of the existing thread on this forum for this issue, but as you can imagine - if everyone posted on a new thread this board would become very messy and hard to find.  Also it gives Sony clear indication of the complaints too.

HI,

 

I'm in the same boat but taking Sony/store to court over this as the good were faulty from day one. Disgraceful
