problem with my wireless lan switch and connectivity

Hi

Just got new waio vgn-nr21z

Worked fine for about a week and then suddenly wireless lan connectivity disappeared. The wireless lan switch itself doesnt seem to be working as there is no light emitting when it is switched on.

when i reboot, the light seems to come on and the laptop briefly connects to the network before switching itself off.

when i connect directly to router internet works fin

anyone got any suggestions for me?

Is the Wireless Switch Setting Utility launching, should appear in your System tray.?

Is wireless LAN enabled in the Wireless Switch Setting Utility.?

I feel a little dumb here....what is the system tray and how do i look into it to check if the wireless switch setting utility is launched?

the system tray is located at the bottom right corner of your task bar next to the clock..
